Happy Thursday Night from the St. Francis Dog Team! Tonight we would like to show you that even though we are giving it our best guess on the breeds of our pups...it is just a guessing game. No one really knows for

sure...LOL

To explain...take the case of the two puppies we just had...Pebbles and Bambam. They were 6 months old and were under 12 pounds and both had big ears and small heads and long bodies. Someone had docked their tails before we found them...but to us they looked like Chihuahua and a Dachshund mix...with maybe a little Corgi thrown in with those big erect ears? Take a look at the picture of the two of them and see what you think?
Pebbles (solid brown muzzle) got adopted first and Bambam (has some black on his muzzle) is soon to be officially adopted by another family. The lady who adopted Pebbles changed her name to Betty and had her DNA test done shortly after she was adopted.
Take a look at her results...we got the Chihuahua part right...but can you believe the other mixes? Not a drop of Doxie in her!!!
Wish we had a crystal ball to get the breeds correct...but we are giving it our best guess! We go through a dog breed book and try to find similar pictures that match the pup we have in our care and we also ask the vet their opinion when we take them in for their shots.
Thank you all for your continued support and please stay safe! Till we see you again next Thursday Night with another update on our Foster Pups!!!
